Three Lauder students: Sunghoon Kim, Mark Choi and Satoshi Ozawa (G’22, WG’22) launched a podcast called Ventures in the East where they dive into the stories of the entrepreneurs building global businesses from Asia.
In their most recent episode, they interview Alex Shin, angel investor and former head of Global Operations at Blind, the leading anonymous community for the workplace. They discuss:
- Blind’s growth from Seoul to Silicon Valley and how it’s turned into an indispensable forum where users spend 40 minutes / day to find new jobs or gossip during crises such as Travis Kalanick’s sudden resignation from Uber
- The evolution of Korea’s venture capital landscape as it draws lessons from Silicon Valley and rides on the recent success of unicorns such as Toss and Coupang
They have more exciting guests lined up, including Lauder alum Christina Chang (G’20, WG’20) on her experience at Shopee Pay.
