The academic calendar for first-year students at Lauder begins June 1st. That means MBA students are on the University of Pennsylvania campus before the bulk of their Wharton classmates arrive, so they get a head start when it comes to making friends in the Lauder Institute’s tight-knit community. JD/MA candidates start the program just after their first year of law school ends, so they are already well-oriented to the Penn campus and Philadelphia. All students graduate from Lauder with their business or law school class.
Earning a joint MBA/MA or JD/MA degree through the Lauder Institute just four months to the 20-month Wharton MBA program and no additional time to the Penn Law JD program, aside from the first spring/summer term at Lauder after the completion of the first year at Penn Law. While the condensed timeframe requires students to commit to a demanding course load, stellar alumni outcomes show a great return on investment.
