The sun finally decided to shine over Berlin! So, I can’t complain…
As mentioned in my previous post, I had the opportunity to go to Istanbul, Turkey and, I must say, it was an amazing trip! I lived in a small guesthouse close to the Sulthanamed area. This neighborhood offers an impressive contrast to the modern and diverse side of Istanbul, where my program activities and meetings usually took place.
The visit to the Mercedez-Benz (Mercedez Türk) local bus production was another interesting instance of contrasts in Istanbul, . If compared to the highly organized, efficient and automatized electronic car production of BMW in Leipzig (Germany), this one appeared highly manual and seemingly obsolete.
Over the remaining weeks, I am going to Hamburg, afterwards a whole week in Frankfurt and a whole week in Munich. I am sure there is still a lot more to learn about the German culture, business world and language.
I look forward to reuniting with Lauder classmates!
