As Managing Director of the Lauder Institute, Kenric Tsethlikai oversees the administration of the joint MBA/MA in International Studies and JD/MA in International Studies degree programs. He supervises daily operations in areas including recruiting and admissions, academic advising, business administration, faculty and staff hiring and onboarding, communications, and career management. In this role, Kenric serves as the primary advisor for academic matters and graduation requirements and thus works closely with the Wharton Graduate Division, Penn Carey Law School, and the Penn School of Arts & Sciences in planning and executing the Institute’s programs and activities.

Kenric arrived at the Lauder Institute in 2008 as Director of Lauder’s Language and Culture Programs to provide oversight to the then nine Lauder Language and Culture Programs on campus and abroad.  Prior to that, he worked at Stanford University where he completed his Ph.D. and M.A. in French. Kenric also holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Kenric has held professional certifications including Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resources Management, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), in addition to being a certified OPI tester in French with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). At Penn, he is a member of the NAGPRA Advisory Committee to the Penn Museum. He actively supports language and culture education through professional associations, reviews of language programs and educators, and contributes to scholarly discussions as in Transforming Postsecondary Foreign Language Teaching in the United States, Springer, 2014 as well as speaking on panels.
