Azline Nelson (G’22, WG’22), a recent Lauder graduate, details her experience attending Lauder Global Alumni Weekend (LGAW) in October 2022 and offers helpful networking tips in this article for Poets and Quants.
LGAW is an event hosted by the Lauder Institute Alumni Association every three years in New York City. The 2022 event was the largest ever, welcoming nearly 1000 alumni and guests. The schedule included a conference with 46 speakers and panelists, 39 class dinners, a networking breakfast, a pitch-it competition for entrepreneurs, and a black-tie soirée.
Azline talks about the impact of attending LGAW as a young alumna, detailing the connections made throughout the weekend. With regard to the close-knit Lauder community, Azline says “it is humbling to be a Lauderite and belong to this multicultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational group of lifelong learners.”
