CULTURE QUEST PHILIPPINES

Over the 2023/2024 Winter Break, more than 30 Lauder students traveled abroad for their annual Lauder Culture Quest (LCQ) adventure, this time to Cebu City and El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. Lauder Culture Quest is an Amazing Race-style program that enables students to vote each year on a quest location and travel in teams to explore a different region of the world. Teams compete to accumulate the most points throughout the adventure by engaging in various activities and local interactions. The optional program offers a learning and bonding experience for Lauder students.

LCQ Philippines kicked off in Cebu City where students enjoyed an opening dinner before splitting into 6 teams to explore the city’s historical landmarks and the natural wonders of the island. Sites visited included Basilica del Santo Niño, Cebu Taoist Temple, Fort San Pedro, Kawasan Falls, Chocolate Hills, and the coastal towns of Moalboal and Oslob. The group later celebrated New Year in Cebu City and continued their journey to El Nido, Palawan, where they toured islands, kayaked through lagoons, and enjoyed the local street food and culture. The Quest concluded with a lively group dinner in El Nido.
