Philadelphia, PA — The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce that the podcast All Else Equal: Making Better Decisions is now a co-production of the Lauder Institute and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Entering its third year, All Else Equal will debut a new season on September 18, 2024, featuring episodes that explore the science and strategy of decision-making, with an expanded focus on global leadership.

Hosted by Lauder Institute Director and Wharton School finance professor Jules van Binsbergen, alongside Stanford Graduate School of Business finance professor Jonathan Berk, All Else Equal delves into decision-making strategies that shape both success and failure at corporate and institutional levels. In conversations with leading figures in business, academia, and politics, van Binsbergen and Berk offer thought-provoking discussions based on their extensive research, examining the most common flaws in decision-making processes—and providing actionable solutions for leaders.

A key element of the podcast’s collaboration with the Lauder Institute is the addition of special episodes featuring Lauder Senior Global Fellows—prominent experts in international business, policy, and culture—who will share their unique perspectives on global issues, leadership challenges, and emerging trends across a variety of industries. The first Lauder Senior Global Fellow featured will be Mohamed El-Erian, a renowned economist, author, and the President of Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge. El-Erian will discuss the sustainability of the fiscal position of the United States in the context of its high debt-to-GDP ratio.

“The Lauder Institute’s mission is to develop leaders across industries with a deep understanding of the global landscape,” said Jules van Binsbergen, Director of the Lauder Institute. “By incorporating the wisdom and experience of our Senior Global Fellows, we aim to broaden the conversation to a macro level and give listeners even greater tools to enhance their decision-making capabilities.”

Episodes of All Else Equal are available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and the Lauder Institute website.
