This International Women’s Day, we celebrate our community of international women at the Lauder Institute! The theme for 2023 is Embrace Equity.

What is the difference between ‘equality’ and ‘equity’?

Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities, while equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

To embrace equity is to value and celebrate the differences of everyone in an organization. At the Lauder Institute, women make up 85% of our staff and faculty and we thank them for their meaningful contributions, their hard work, and their unique perspectives.

Happy International Women’s Day!
