Katie Lee has been teaching Korean at the Lauder Institute since 2018.
She received her Ed. D and M. Ed in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Education from Temple University. Her professional interests include applied linguistics and language pedagogy, sociolinguistics, cross-cultural communication, and second language writing in both Korean and English.
She has extensive teaching experience in the United States and South Korea. She taught all levels of Korean at several institutions in the United States: Temple University, Drexel University, and South Jersey Korean School. Previously, she taught college composition courses at Temple University. She also taught in training programs for Korean ESL teachers in South Korea and in an ESL certificate program for K-12 teachers at Arcadia University in the United States. She is a member of the American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and an ACTFL-certified OPI tester in Korean.
