Arabic-track Program

In recent years, the need for Arabic speakers who are also fluent in that region's economic, political, and cultural issues has dramatically increased. As a result, in 2002, Penn Lauder CIBER and the Lauder Institute launched a five-semester Arabic Language Track. Students enrolled in this cutting-edge program earn an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the School of Arts & Sciences.

The Arabic track integrates language and cultural training during the school year, with an intense, two-month summer immersion in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. Students are admitted with an oral proficiency rating of Advanced Mid (according to the guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages). Over the course of the 24-month program, students are expected to advance their language skills to attain the Superior rating.
