Survival Language Skills Program

Even when formal interactions are facilitated by professional translation, in order to be as effective as possible, business practitioners need to have basic foreign language competence that includes a repertoire for some common business situations.

Penn Lauder CIBER sponsors a number of traditional not-for-credit language classes designed to provide business practitioners with the language and cultural know-how to conduct business more effectively throughout the world. These classes are currently offered to MBA/Lauder students who have already achieved proficiency (ACTFL scale 3 or higher) in their language of study.

Survival language skills have been offered in French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
