Global Leadership Forums

Washington, DC
Penn Lauder CIBER also collaborates on planning and sponsoring other student-organized events, including the daylong Global Leadership Forum, now held annually in April in Washington, DC. This event marks a major cooperative endeavor by students in the Wharton and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) graduate programs. Highlights include briefings by policymakers, diplomats, and journalists on key policy issues that affect international business.

New York City
In Fall 2004, in a new collaboration with Columbia's CIBER and the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), the Global Leadership Forum event expanded to include an event in New York City (free and open to the public). This forum featured speakers from the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Millennium Development Goals, and the Canadian Permanent Mission. The speakers addressed public/private partnerships, the UN Millennium Development Goals, and the UN political agenda and peacekeeping.
